Introduction

Scaling Montplex Cache involves two aspects: scaling cache instances and scaling cluster resources.

Cache Instance Scaling

Each cache instance is assigned a specified memory capacity upon creation. When the memory usage is insufficient to meet business needs, a cache instance needs to be scaled up. Conversely, if the memory usage of a cache instance remains consistently low, it should be scaled down.

Cluster Resource Scaling

Cluster resources refer to the underlying computing resources on which Montplex Cache instances run. As the memory usage of the underlying cluster resources increases or decreases with the operation of Montplex Caches, we need to perform scaling operations on the cluster resources.
