After learning the basic introduction to Montplex Cache, this article will guide you on how to quickly try Montplex Cache for free.

Product Overview

Montplex Cache is a cache system based on the BYOC (Bring Your Own Cloud) multi-cloud model. It aims to save users public cloud cache costs while providing persistent storage of data based on cloud storage facilities, and ensuring second-level startup of cache services, thereby guaranteeing high availability of business.

Trial Conditions

  • To try Montplex Cache, there's no need to register as a Montplex user. It fully simulates real users without any functional limitations.
  • No need to provide any cloud platform account keys, nor will any resources be created in your VPC.
  • The free trial period is 2 hours.
  • After the free trial period ends, the Cache resources created during the trial will be automatically reclaimed.

Trial Guide

Initializing Runtime

Runtime is the underlying operating environment for Cache, a collection of computing resources, network resources, and storage resources.

  1. On the official website homepage https://www.montplex.com/, click Playground. Enter the Cache list page of Montplex Console.

  2. Select Runtime to enter the Cache Runtime list page.

  3. Choose Init Runtime to enter the Initialize Runtime page.

  4. Select the default Security Credentials, then click Next.

  5. Enter Basic Runtime Settings. For Playground users, this creation process is simulated by the system. Users only need to fill in the required items as they wish, no real resources will be created. For example: Select Version, Region, VPC, S3 Bucket, Runtime Name, etc. Select Next to enter Choose zones for new runtime, then select Next. The system begins to simulate the creation of Runtime resources.

  6. After creation, you can see the simulated Runtime in the Runtime list.

Creating Cache

  1. Select Caches in the console to enter the Montplex Cache list page.
  2. Select New Cache to enter the Create Cache Service page.
  3. Choose the cloud provider, Region, Runtime, and Primary Zone for the Cache. Disaster Recovery Zone cannot be selected in the Playground scenario as multiple availability zones are not created. Fill in Cache Name, Cluster Mode, and Memory size. Note: The number of cluster shards will be automatically adjusted based on the Memory size.
  4. On the right side, you can see an overview of the current Cache. Select Create.
  5. After creation, you can see the Cache status information on the Cache list page. The status changes from Not Ready to Running in about 5 seconds.
  6. Select the Cache name to view detailed Cache information, connection string, monitoring, and other information.
